In a recent update for the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions of GTA Online, animals have made their way into the multiplayer realm, extending beyond their presence in the single-player mode since launch. A new feature, the "Wildlife Photography" Daily Collectable, allows players to capture images of up to three different animals, be they domestic or wild, to earn in-game rewards. Contrary to its name, this challenge encompasses various animals. Completing the challenge by taking one photo unlocks the opportunity to purchase the new Declasse Park Ranger, while snapping ten photos unveils the vehicle's trade price.

In addition to wildlife photography, the update introduces the return of Peyote plants scattered throughout the game world. Consuming these plants triggers a transformative experience, turning players into animals like deer or cows. However, this feature is only available for a limited time, akin to previous instances when Peyote was incorporated into GTA Online. It's worth noting that these transformations can be experienced in the single-player mode at any time.

Payphone Hits have undergone adjustments, with lower assassination payouts balanced by a reduced cooldown of 10 minutes between hits. Until January 10, players can also enjoy double GTA$ and RP in Rockstar-created Stunt Races, Junk Energy Time Trials, and HAW Races, offering ample opportunities for in-game rewards.
